    I have been takin...

    I have been taking my vehicle/s to Dave for a number of years. Mostly for regular maintenance (oil changes, tune ups etc), but have also required some out of warranty repair work. Never had any issues. The work gets done as quoted and he does a thorough job.

    I wouldn't use this service again

    I contacted Dave to do an prepurchase inspection on a restored 68 Ford Mustang as I was in Calgary. He went to the owners house and inspected it, and said it basically looked brand new. Now real inspection notes, no testing was done that I was aware of. The one comment that sticks out in my head is he said it basically looked brand new and he didn't want to scratch it. What kind of inspection did I pay for? Seems to me the owner started it, showed him it ran, and that was probably it. With the weather it couldn't be driven, to test that aspect, but once I got it here there was glaringly obvious issues that any mechanic should have spotted. The brake light was on when I got it. The sensor, and the brake line distrobution block were fully seized. The parking brake wasn't working, the heater wasn't working. None of these simple items were noted. I would not use this service again, and am really annoyed that I payed over $160.00 for him not do an actual inspection.
