Few drinks bring Christmas warmth like a hot cup of mulled wine. At Winebar Kensington, the wine is mulled with spices from right across the street at The Naked Leaf. Try the traditional drink made with red wine and a blend of spices or sip on some apple cider. Mulled wine is served on Saturdays in December and featured frequently during the other winter months.

The Wednesday Room

This 60s-inspired lounge opened its doors just before the end of 2017 in Calgary. Try a pour of the Afternoon Delight (made with apricot brandy, egg white and lemon yuzu) for some holiday cheer or be a rebel and end an evening with a Vesper martini or Monk's Revenge.

Shelter

Take shelter from the cold in this pre-Prohibition-style cocktail lounge and wine bar that publishes its Instagram posts in Morse code. Order the Cellar Mix and create a custom cocktail by picking your base spirit, flavour profile and even your type of glass. Or, pick from cellar mixes and Old World cocktails.
