Eat for a good cause on October 21st

On Wednesday, October 21st, five Montreal restaurants invite you to sit down for a very special evening. Over 50 restaurants in 13 Canadian cities will participate in the "Restaurants for Change" campaign. Part or all of the proceeds generated from the event will be donated to food aid programs for the nation's disadvantaged communities. Book a table and make a difference. For more information, visit the official event page.

Le Bremner

1
361, rue Saint-Paul E, Montréal, QC H2Y 1H3

The seafood restaurant of lively chef Chuck Hughes, Le Bremner is located on rue St-Paul in Old Montreal. Watch your step! The establishment is housed in a half-basement, where the decor is both rustic and chic. Opt for an appetizer consisting of beans, bacon and almonds, followed by a hot lobster sandwich or tuna tataki. Whatever you choose, the menu will certainly satisfy your craving for seafood.

Maison Publique

2
4720, rue Marquette, Montréal, QC H2J 3Y6

The Maison Publique opens its doors at 6 pm on Wednesday. The following will certainly make your trip worth it: baked oysters, cured beef, Pacific sardines, Township steaks, fried rabbit, lentil stew, poached eggs and leeks, and snow crab pie. OK, we'll stop now. The rest is up to you!

Park Restaurant

3
378, av Victoria, Westmount, QC H3Z 2N4

Chef Antonio Park's second restaurant (he also owns Lavanderia next door), honours the art of sushi. It's all about freshness and sustainability here, and that bodes well for diners! Those who want to try something other than sushi can opt for teriyaki beef or chicken, fish dishes, ribs and Kobe beef.

Restaurant Nora Gray

4
1391, rue Saint-Jacques, Montréal, QC H3C 1H2

This restaurant on rue Saint-Jacques O. has been treating guests to fine dining since 2011. On the menu: antipasti (roasted cauliflower, raw fish of the day, stuffed vegetables with sausage, crostini with tomato, seared tuna), and dishes that must be eaten slowly in order to be fully enjoyed, such as grilled mackerel, grilled celeriac steak, veal breast and stuffed rabbit saddle. And take note: they do not offer separate bills. Gentlemen, be chivalrous – as though you need reminding!

And it's a sixth time in a row for the MTLàTABLE festival, playing matchmaker between foodies and Montreal’s fine food establishments. From November 2 to 16, choose from $21, $31 or $41 multi-course meals to start your culinary journey right here in Montreal. Here’s what’s on the menu at some of the restaurants taking part.
