Ms. Murray would not explain any training that she has had, in areas of marital, child, or adolescent counseling, or in domestic violence or high conflict cases. She often sided with the other person and told me that my views were not important. Her notes were poor and her final report was inadequate and contained information that was her personal opinion, not anything that was agreed upon in the sessions.
I have been going to see Bonnie for 2+ years. She is never biased or judgmental. Through custody battles and parenting orders, she has always only thought of the child first. She will not lie to you or tell you only what you want to hear. She is honest and trustworthy and a tremendous help to anyone in a tough situation. Bonnie helps you to understand both sides of the problem, the whole picture. She is WELL worth the price and I would recommend her to anyone.
Ms. Murray is a counsellor of strong ethics, compassion and expertise. The negative reviews left here appear to be all from one person who did not get what she wanted in a Mediation/Parenting Assessment situation. When a person is convinced they are right, it is very difficult for them to accept any compromise. That seems to be the case here. Many families and children in Southern Alberta are stronger and healthier thanks to Ms. Murray and considerable skills in counselling and mediation.
If you are female, want fair and unbiased treatment and want the best possible outcome for your children Murray is definitely not able to provide this for you. She recommended my son have visitation with his father who had previously been investigated and deemed unfit to be alone with my child. The results of this recommendation have been disastrous. Save your money and yourself worry and go to someone who is qualified to make well founded report. Murray is a psychiatric nurse and has a BA. Wow
If you are considering using Bonnie Murray's services I highly urge you to look elsewhere. She charged an outrageous fee and only succeeded in making our situation worse than it was to begin with. A one star rating for her is much too high.
